Hi, I am Nicolle. When I was pregnant with my baby girl Florence, I captured my pregnant body in 3D and created my very own pregnancy sculpture. Once I had the finished piece in my hands, I instantly knew this was something I wanted to share with other mums.
How it Works
Firstly, we organise a session time with you so we can take a 3D capture of your pregnant body. Then we will 3D print and hand detail your bespoke piece. Once ready, she will be delivered to your door!

The perfect keepsake.
What is a mother figure statuette? It’s a personalised 3D model of your pregnant body. Created through 3D scanning it is a copy of you! Followed by a process of 3D print and hand detailing your statuette to your finish of choice.
How long does it take?
The 3D scanning takes a few minutes. All up the 3D session takes about 45min. Leaving enough room for you to comfortably work out your pose of choice.
The creating of the statuette takes a wee bit longer, about 12 weeks. There are many manual steps involved!
Delivery of your statuette happens within 1-3 business days in Perth area ❤️

It’s a special journey having all the amazing mamas in front of my 3D scanner. Every conversation, every 3D session has given me inspiration, thoughts and questions. Not just on how to better and perfect the oh so cool and special concept of capturing your pregnant body in 3D. But on myself, my own birth story and first years of motherhood.
Second year of Mother Figure is in full swing and I am exited to be doing those multiple pregnancy statuettes!! Same pose at the same gestation? Or different pose and finish? So much to explore and I am letting you mums guide me.

The most passionate comments I hear about 3D pregnancy statuettes would be from the mums that have missed out. Missed out because they gave birth many moons before this concept existed.

I didn’t really know what to think of my pregnant body. Part of me was proud that I was growing a human and part of me was just not liking the changes at all.

Choosing a pose and finish for your statuette to suit you and your home, can be a process. Close your eyes, visualise your statuette placed in your home.. Is it on a book shelf? Bedside table? What colours surround it?

I made it very hard for her.. but she found me!
Its special having my own pregnancy statuette. And even more special having that connection with my daughter over it. She is starting to understand the concept of babies being in bellies. And she is proud to tell people that’s it’s her in my belly when she shows my statuette.
I started up Mother Figure because I really liked the concept of 3D pregnancy sculptures. As soon as I held my own statuette for the first time I went from really liking the concept to absolutely loving it.

Getting statuettes ready within promised time frame is a race against the clock every time.
Why?
Firstly, there are many manual steps involved to getting your sculpture from a 3D file into a handheld size piece of art. And these steps again have processes involved to ensure the print is optimised and your finish of choice is perfect.
Secondly I am a procrastinator in life in general. Follows in line with my over thinking. Doesn’t really help when you make promises 🫣 But it does ensure attention to detail and I will take that!
And then there is the never ending big bit where your toddler gets sick and sleep goes out to window and you have the press pause on everything 🙄

Steps involved to eternalise your bump ❤️
Firstly, I capture your pregnant body in 3D. You can come to my cosy studio home or I can travel to you. I will sit with you and together we work out what pose is best suited for your pregnant body.
The 3D capture takes a few minutes only. All up, you will have me in your company for about one hour.
I then proceed to 3D print and craft your statuette to a Bronze Look or Chalk White finish. And I have a new finish in the making.. will be sharing soon!
The end result is a unique and stunning piece of art identical to your pregnant body at a handheld size.

What is a 3D photo?
A 3D photo is 3 dimensional, allowing it to be compatible with a 3D printer. Call it a 3D scan, a 3D capture etc.
What happens at the 3D session?
We sit, we chat we have a cuppa. I will talk you through all the different poses. When you feel ready, I will take the 3D capture. This only takes about a minute!
